I took my Landrover Freelander on 2 January 2013 for a problem that when the engine is warm it is difficult to start.
Frans (technician) said I must book the vehicle in so that they can do a diagnostics test to see what the fault is but he thinks it could be the wiring or the fuel pressure sensor. The vehicle was booked in on 9 January 2013 and they gave me a quote for R6000 to repair the fault as it was the fuel pressure sensor needs replacement and I gave them the go ahead. As I don't use the vehicle very much, I only used it again from a warm start on 29th of January and the old problem was still there. I took the vehicle right back to Frans and he said I must make another appointment as he needs to do another diagnosis. I got another appointment for today 4th of February and Frans called me today to tell me that it is actually the injectors that is overflowing and that is the cause of the problem and it is going to cost another R34000.00 and then they can only do a test to see if it is fixed. Needless to say I blew a gasket. On asking him he admitted not testing if the problem was resolved when starting the vehicle on warm, so i paid for nothing.(wrong diagnosis)
