Open checque account or you cant have your money

My husband applied for a loan from his access bond (which has more than R50k available). This has now been declined three times. Standard Bank say that it is now their policy that you have to have a checques account with them and your salary payments must be paid into the account before they will give you access to your money in the Access Bond. Lee-Anne from the K90 branch assisted my husband in writing a motivation for the loan and yet it got declined again. There reason being that they are scared that he will not be able to make the monthly payments for the home loan. He has not missed one payment in 11 years and pays extra into the account every month. Why could someone from head office not call him to see if there are other options for him and how they can assist? But nothing. Lee-Anne gave him her number to phone and promised to see if he reduces the amount that he wants to borrow if that would be acceptable and then phone him back. its been three days now, no phone call and if you phone the number it just rings. This is not acceptable if you think that a lot of people use their home loans to save money and now you are not allowed to have it when you need it. BAD SERVICE
