So i had technicians from Defy come and "repair" my oven and at the same time i had property out my house, amongest the the items was a 51" LED tv, which was carried out in plain view of my domestic worker, that i had purchased from my brother to fit into my newly renovated bedroom. When i claimed from my insurance i was told i had no proof of purchase after which i obtained a affidavit from my brother but that was good enough and he had to supply proof of purchase from over a year ago, when he could not the claim was rejected. So basically we get robbed and we the criminals. I am now paying for a TV which i do not have and still have to pay my insurance premiums every month which i do religiously without fail. Now i want to know why when we take the insurance no paper work is requested to prove what we own or what the value is in the property, it is taken on good faith. Why are we treated like criminals when we claim. Surely by looking at life styles they can also see if such items would be in our houses or not. Perhaps we should take photos of every item in the house and tell them to log it onto a data base? Then they will have all the proof they need.
