I was granted an access bond account some years ago. I got divorced and after a year of struggles and dealing with incompetants at the bank branches as well as call centres, the substitution was eventually finalised in 2010.

When trying to access the excess funds in my bond yesterday I realised that the "Access" facility had been removed - bank never informed me of this. I contacted the call centre today and was passed around to another 3 incompetants before finally being told I need to have my salary paid into a Standard bank account before an access bond will be considered. Just 1 problem with that - I live in a foreign country where all salaries must be paid into a local bank account.

I want to be clear about what I want and don't want from the bank. I don't want an apology - it is hollow and meaningless. I do not want to hear some drone ramble on about what their checklist says, but is never available on a public forum such as their website available for all to see.

What I want is my access bond reinstated as it was before, after all I am accessing the additional money I have deposited.
