Difficulty Applying for Access Bond Facility

I have a bond through Standard Bank however do my normal banking through another bank. In order to apply for an Access Bond, I was told ONLY to setup, and link to, a Standard Bank account. I chose an Access Account for my needs.

After applying for this and access bond application form, I was not called back with regards to any feedback whatsoever. I visited the branch to enquire about my application; I was informed that in order for the access bond to work, I need to debit the monthly amount through the access account and not my other bank. So then I came back to the bank again and applied to change these details.

I was then informed that even debiting the bond off of my access account is not enough! I was told that my employer needs to deposit my monthly salary into this account and that its NOT sufficient for me to direct my funds from my primary bank account to the access account.

This not only goes against what the previous consultants informed me but also against the official pre-requisite access bond description on the Standard Bank website.

The process is onerous, and lacks transparency. Please could someone advise me on what is actually needed with regards to this?
