With regards to the policy stated above. We went to the Pretoria branch to submit a claim on Saturday; however we were told yesterday that the application was declined due to the fact that ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS were not produced. We then asked a family member to go the Absa branch in Mthatha with the original documents since the headoffice already had the application. That was done yesterday and the headoffice was sent the documents yesterday aproximately about 15h00pm; Retabile Mokgosinyane confirmed that she has recieved the documents. To our suprise when we phoned the headoffice today at 14h00hrs the application is declined because the burial order is cut in half and even the manager confirmed that. Now; my biggest question is:1) If the application is cut in half why would Absa life decline it instead of phoning the banker who emailed the documents to re-email the document 2) If we didn't phone the headoffice when were we going to find out that the application is declined due to this pathethic reason. Absa wanted us to produce the original documents and we did just that; so why are they doing their level best not to pay this claim or IS THAT HOW YOU OPERATE?
