I am a victim of Identity f r a u d. First of all, how are applicants screened and confirmed viable for credit card accounts? The new credit act seems pretty tough, but someone gets through the system on false credentials? After an hour and a half long waiting in a queue at a branch (with NO answer or help, referring me to different departments) AND 8 calls to at least 4 departments of ABSA (with about 6 consultants), still no-one seems to be able to help me. And some consultants are even rude as part of the package... And so I get referred from one consultant to the next. After being on the phone for 30 mins the cards are eventually stopped. but I can't get any of the info needed for a police investigation, because I have to contact yet another department. Where is the customer service??? It seems that I have a horrible experience with ABSA without even choosing to be their client.
