On Saterday, I went to the bank to withdraw R30000 from my account. The lady asked me if I was still working for FNB. I explained to her that I was retrenched from FNB and now working for Mutual & Federal. My last working day for FNB was the 31 March. She advised me that she can not give me that money, I should go to enquiries, and they should downgrade my account to smart account as I am not working for FNB anymore. I was suprise because they wanted to give me a whole new account for which for me that was an inconvenience as I should now advise every account I have i should give them a new account and I dont have the time to advise every account of my new account number. I asked them if they want me to cancel the account with them and they lady just said that it is fine, you can cancel if you want to.
