I took a funeral policy with FNB in 2010. A policy can be opened without the identity documents of the people you want to cover, even when the time goes by they never update or confirm with you as the customer. I covered my mother and my father told the person who was assisting that he is over 65yrs. I pay them monthly and my when dad passed on and I submitted on the 11 April 2013. No response then on the 17/04 I went to check I was.told my claim was declined cause he is over age they didn't have his ID. I fail to understand if so why do they keep deducting my money they said they will refund me. All this incident I'm told over the phone so I asked to speak to the manager I got cut off. He called me after an hour and he didn't answer any question I asked he only said all the money I paid for my father will be refunded that was not an agreement I didn't ask them to save for me. How do they deduct while they don't have full information of the policy.
