ON MY ACCOUNT AND ABSA DONT CARE

On Wednesday morning 02h41am I received an SMS from ABSA stating that R6049 was deducted from my account. I did not authorise any transaction of this amount and immediately suspected so I got my card stopped although I still had it with me was told that the card must have been cloned because "my card" was used for the transaction.

The next morning I went to the police station to open a case and with this case nr went to ABSA Centurion Lifestyle to get the transaction reversed. The funds were still in my account and only "reserved" (Not available to me). ABSA also found on the statement the amount of R8000 was firstly tried but declined then R7000 and then the finally they took R6049 (Confirming) but ABSA refused to stop the transaction??? I was told they have to investigate while the money will clear into the account!!!

It is now 3 days later, the funds is out of my account and even for more than the reserved amount now R6250, still no input from ABSA`s side. Looks like ABSA has got a huge security problem, the police officer told me they receive a lot of these cases and only from ABSA, yet ABSA don't help to improve security to the cost of their clients
