This happened at the beginning of the month and I complained about it on the Absa site but they just ignored me.
This month Absa decided to just change my vehicle insurance policy when I already have insurance with another company. Apparently Absa sent out an e-mail warning that you must give proof of your insurance. I didn't bother sending my proof to Absa as they can just confirm with the insurance company directly.
Well, Absa decided to just one-up me and sign me up for more insurance and deducted an extra R700 with my vehicle payment. I am paying double the vehicle insurance now.
Isn't this supposed to be illegal? How can Absa just change a contract without me re-signing it?
I would like this insurance canceled and Absa to return the money that they took from me.
