Absa vehicle finance deducted money for an insurance policy without my consent. My vehicle has been insured since the day it left the dealership. I bank with Absa so they can see that I pay insurance (proof was supplied at the time of purchasing my vehicle) and they would see that it is on going. They have no right to take out any policies against my name or to just deduct money that is not due to them without my consent.
I want my money back today not in 5 - 7 working days as per the info I got over the phone when querying why they just went ahead and took my money. This is unacceptable and unethical behaviour from Absa - I have had finance with Wesbank (who I don't bank with) and have never had them deduct monies for insurance.
