I am an Engineer by profession, have been with FNB from when I was still in varsity. I have made numerous attempts to apply for finance through what I believe should be my bank and have failed indefinitely. In the recent case I got a flat valued at R900k for as little as R540k. My bank still won't even give me an offer on such a bargain property, whereas at least the other banks are offering me 80% as a 1st time buyer.
This is starting to annoy me as even for vehicle finance other banks always offer me credit and FNB rejects my applications with NO OFFER AT ALL. I made a loan application to build for my family (coming from a previously disadvantaged background I had to do this) but MY BANK also declined me then, other banks approved.
When my account was upgraded to Platinum acc. I was promised better product offerings by the bank. Now I may loose such a good property because MY BANK won't assist me. Where does financial liberation come into place. Am I just assisting FNB to become richer with my deductions. MIND YOU, ON ALL MY CREDIT OFFERINGS, I HAVE NEVER MISSED A PAYMENT!
IF HONESTLY AM TO ADVICE ANYONE, DO NOT JOIN FNB, YOU WILL BE FRUSTRATED. I WAS WARNED AND NEVER LISTENED!
