I am on the market to buy a new car. The dealer sent through my finance application to all banks for approval. Low and behold, the only bank willing to finance me, is ABSA. I find it quite disappointing that FNB wont help an FNB customer with vehicle financing. I was told when Icontacted FNB Vehicle Finance, that my application was declined due to affordability, and based on an application of R114 999, I would need to put down a deposit of R45 000. I moved from being an ABSA client many years ago, and have been an FNB client ever since. I have recently applied for an overdraft, which FNB has approved. I have also applied for a credit card, which FNB approved. Now when I need asssistance in buying a car, I am told I cannot afford it? Ironically, the bank which I no longer bank with, is willing to finance me??? I am very disappointed in this. My credit rating with FNB is emaculate!!! So, thank you for NOTHING, FNB!!!
