Debited my account without consulting me

I opened a savings account with Nedbank on 7th March 2013, on the 8th March 2013 an amount of R115000 was deposited into the account, on the 9th March 2013 I withdrew an amount of R70000 cash to pay cash for a car. At 00H30 on the 11th March I left for a trip to Zimbabwe. When I stopped in a Town near the border I drew money at a Nedbank auto teller and to my horror discovered that about R16500 was missing from my account. I phoned client services and was advised that this was for an old credit card amount which had been written off. When i got back from Zimbabwe I queried this again and was told that it was for an old credit card amount and that it belonged to the bank and they could take it if they pleased. The original limit on the credit card was R1000 how did they allow the card to get to an amount of R15000 odd, Nedbank are one of those "beep" banks who have no customer relations or service whatsoever. Had they bothered to contact me before just taking the money i may not have had the negative attitude toward them that I now have. Needless to say I will be closing this account on 28th March 2013 and using the old mattress banking method. Bye Bye nedbank. "BEEEP"
