During Feb 2013 there was a break in at our home while we where at the school sports, according to myself, I activated our alarm, now Santam do not want to pay our claim. According to Vital Security the alarm was not activated this is after I explained to the assessor that the week before the break in I had Vital Security in our house to check the alarm after we experienced problems. Vital said that there is no fault.
We are not alarm technicians, how must we know if the alarm is not working, must we now claim from Vital
What is the use of Santam, if the alarm did not work it is not that we left our house open, we did what Santam expects from us. Do not pass the buck you decided to go into the insurers business.
