In December there was a burglary at my premises. The claim was submitted and an assessor visited my home
He was there for 4 hours. I answered all his question truthfully. Although he was polite he went through all my belonging with a fine comb. taking photos etc. This was an intrusion on my privacy. Double wammy, first the and now the assessor. There was no feedback from Santam until I phoned repeatedly to find out progress, only to be told that they will not communicate with me but my broker. My premium adjustments were done by me. The claim??? Imnot worth taking to, but I pay the premiums
After calling several times, the broker received a letter saying that they not paying because there was no alarm on the premises. My contract at the time of inception clearly state that I did not have an alarm. When
policy changed Im not aware of it bec there was no communication. This makes me a and I take offence to that.
The promo says "peace of mind" "no excuses.
What a im was extremely stressed by the assessor, then to have them decline claim and make me to feel it is my fault. I actually believed in the company, hoe foolish of me.
