First National Bank
Froze my account without warning for no good reaso

I was very upset when FNB decided to froze my account without any warning Tuesday on payday the day before human Rights day (public holiday). The reason, apparently I didn't sign a contract with them!!? I switched to FNB months ago (last year December) over the internet and telephone just like they advertised you can do. My card and device was delivered to my by courier and at no stage was I told I had to go in to sign a contract!!? No sms, snail-mail or even Email was sent to me to warn me that my account would be frozen. When I went in to FNB after work 15H30 on Wednesday to find out why my account was frozen they told me I had to sign a one page consent form and that the account would only be re-opened the Friday because the people at the head office that handled this issue had already gone and they didn't work on a public holiday the next day. I had plans for the public holiday which had be canceled because although I had money in my account I could not get to it. Today (Friday) my account is still frozen. Some of my Debit orders are going off today and I have no money before the weekend. Thanks FNB you guys rock! NOT!
