Hi, I would like to add this. Had the same problem in December 2010 with Nedbank Personal loans. They sent out an sms stating the debit order will go off on the 12th of December - if I have a problem with that I should notify them. I didn't have a problem with the 12th however they went & put the debit order off on the 10th. After my complaint they reversed the debit order on the 11th. I informed them I still don't have a problem with the 12th as I got paid on the 12th - they conveniently forgot to put the debit order through again on the 12th - putting my account in arrears. I just phoned them as they have done exactly the same (this time I need to add without any notification), &I just heard that they have handed my account over to the collections department. I told them I don't have an issue with them adding another month to my term but I refuse to pay double one month because of their mistake. This is absolutely absurd - we trust a huge corporation with our finances and this is what they do, and then play ignorant when trying to contact them. I have made plans for this weekend which I will now have to cancel and pay cancellation fee. My contract also state 25th for debit order.
