So yesterday I went to ABSA to close my Student Cheque Account. As no one was there to assist me to where I should go, I stood in the Customer Service queue. I stood there for almost an half an hour due to the fact that only two people was working and one kept on disappearing and at a time didn't even return. When it was finally my turn, I was told to go to the Consultants department where I opened my account.

I waited there for about 15min to be helped, where I was told that I can't just close my account. She walked out to go talk to another consultant where they also had a nice 'chat' with some other guy. She came back stating that should pay R7.33 before I can close the account and filled in the deposit form and said I have to go and pay it at the tellers.

Well, that queue was even longer than the first one I stood in. I stood in line for about an hour, just to be told that the systems were offline and that we should be patient (like really now).

I wasted 2 hours just to close an account!!!
