I joined FNB from another bank about 6 months ago and for the most part I have been quite happy. On Monday I was at OR Tambo International for a flight to Durban and thought I could finally make use of one of the great perks, the Slow Lounge. I had been informed that my account allows me 4 free visits per month. So I went in, had a cup of coffee and a muffin, and 20 minutes later I went to catch my plane.
Only to discover I had been charged R250 for the priviledge! I enquired and was told I didn't swipe my card enough last month. This was never explained to me when I signed on at FNB. Surely if there is a monthly rolling requirement they could send a courtesy sms to inform you if you have qualified or not! Shocking advertising to convince you to join the bank without giving you all the details. Needless to say thats the last expensive cup of coffee and muffin I will be taking from the Slow Lounge! Thanks for ripping me off FNB
