In October last year, I had a request from ABSA that I had to produce the FICA documentation or my account will be blocked. I duly handed my documentation into the Rivonia Branch of ABSA to say that they will update the system in that same month. I thought that I had done what I needed to, but this year, my account has been blocked 3 times and when I enquire about it it is ALWAYS the same reason - that I have failed to hand in my FICA documentation. The problem is that the account CANNOT be unblocked via telephone, you have to go into a branch and EVERYTime it is the same thing, they just say their departments are not connected so sometime these things happen.
Please may someone sort this out ASAP - evertime it happens it take 48 hours for my account to be unblocked! I did my part, and ABSA take a rediculous amount of fees, surely they can sort out their customer service and do theirs!
