I have flagged my profile on TransUnion in November 2012 because I noticed that someone is using my identity. I needed to be notified of any credit activities taking place under my ID number and to my surprise ABSA as a big financial service provider doesn't follow protocols; they were just keen on giving out credit and make money as they didn't notify me or check whether they are giving out credit to the right person; now they have granted someone a Credit Card in my name and this is really affecting my credit record as the credit card owes R47 000. I went to one of the branches to get some assistance until today they are still investigating. This is affecting me because now I can get my bond application approved because of ABSA's Negligence and staff incompetence. I've been patient but it seems as nothing is being done.
