I have been with AFI since 1997. In the last few months I have been the victim of negligence and passing the buck by the AF management. A few months ago I put through a claim (approx. October 2012) for storm damage. AF paid the claim but was told that we were under insured. About a month or so later we had an electric storm which damaged several items which was supposed to be covered by the insurance. An assesor was sent who did an evaluation by eye which was almost 100sqm incorrect based on the original building plans.
The claim was processed on the 12th of January 2013 and I received telephonic confirmation that the claim would be paid. On the 14th January 2013 I was notified that our insurance would be cancelled. I have since been to many departments at AF with no help whatsoever. Everybody wants to pass the buck but do not realise that because of this I do not have any insurance. This has become such a worry and burden as I am uninsurable due to this cancellation.
Can somebody please assist in reinstating our insurance. We have been loyal clients of Alexander Forbes and feel as though we have been mistreated and cancelled unfairly.
