I recently changed my cellphone number.
I contacted nedbank to try and change my number on their systems. They informed me for security reasons i cannot do it over the phone. I have to go into the bank to do it?
With every other query they authenticate who i am by asking me questions. And then they are happy to assist. But for something so simple like changing my cell number i have to go all the way yo the bank, stand in a queue for 30 minutes just to i can give them a 10 digit number! How ridiculous. Security i understand, but this is just unnecessary!
I genuinely do not have the time to go to the bank. Not even on a weekend. They wont even do this for me. no matter what i tell them. I am willing to fax them a signed letter. willing to email whoever needs to be emailed. Answer any security questions they may have. NO one wants to assist me.
I will be switching banks soon and I was on the fence. Well my mind is made up now. I don't need anyone to contact me to apologize for anything, unless you are going to assist me telephonically, please don't bother.
