I saw Themba around mid January to apply for a home loan and upgrade my account. It took nearly a month without any feedback to find out what sort of loan I was approved for which was quite low actually. I have decided to seek elsewhere for the loan. Another frustration I have is my account upgrade which I applied for. I would imagine that this would take much quicker than a home loan application, yet has still not been completed as far as I am aware. I have contacted Themba numerous times via email and have had no feedback on the status of my account upgrade. I have been speaking to Pontso Katadi from FNB this week who will gladly assist me in changing over to FNB which seems to be the bank of choice these days. I am fed up and not prepared to sit around hoping to get feedback anymore. Kindly provide me with details of how I go about closing my Standard Bank account.
