Cancellation of facility for house cove

Outsurance was our service provider for cover on our residence. The bond was held by RMB, and was in my husband's name. He passed away in Dec 2009. I was the sole beneficiary, and the executors of the estate had to so to it that the bond was paid in full, and to transfer the property into my name. I contacted Outsurance and asked to change the facility schedule to my name and provided them with my banking details in order to pay for the insurance on the house.

On Monday, 18 February, I was contacted by Outsurance and they informed me that RMB contacted them to inform them the registration of the property in my name has gone through, and the insurance should be cancelled, effective 11 Feb 2013. I also received this on SMS. I was thus without cover for a a week, anything could have happened in this week.

Outsurance say they will "bend backwards" to assist - I was not even offered the opportunity to carry on with the insurance on the property with them. I feel that the fact that I had been paying for this for more than 3 years, had nothing to do with the registration process. I had to urgently try and get cover. No notice period? Bad, bad service and PR.!
