Outsurance
Homeowners Cover Claim not being resolved

Myself and my Husband have recently purchased a property through FNB and took homeowners cover recommended by FNB being Outsurance. Our bond was registered at the Deeds Office on the 14th of November 2013. We Received the keys from the previous owner (Charles Stevens) on the 16th of
November 2013 (to confirm this statement please contact William Page at Dean Atcheson). We officialy took Occupation of the property on the 20th of Novemebr 2013 and this is when we noticed the problems on the Property (leaking roof throughout our house). Upon exposure we contacted the Estate Agents and they advised that we should put in a claim. I contacted Outsurance on the 5th of December and was told that our claim will not be paid because the bond was registered on the 14th of November and we sumbitted a claim on the 13th of November. I find that quite mind boggeling as I recall receiving a letter
From the Deeds office that registartion took place on the 14th of November 2013 and the claim was only submitted on the 5th of December and not on the 13th of Novemebr 2013. This is why I'm failing to understand why my claim has been rejected and i will also be taking this matter up with the ombudsman.
