My husband and I recently bought a new home... we where advice to take the insurance that that bank provided to enable the registration of the bond to go through smoothly, however when we found out what Outsurance was charging us monthly for building insurance it was ridiculous I decided to contact my personal broker who gave me a much better premium which Outsurance was unable to match... I contacted FNB on 13/09/2013 to change the insurance companies which they gladly accepted FNB sent a notification to Outsurance on 26/09/2013 informing then to cancel the policy... to this day they have not cancelled the policy... I have been having to phone in every day speaking to various consultants (frustrating as ever) to get this sorted out, I have also spoken to the manager there and he hasn't gotten back to me either.
today is the 1/10/2013 and the debit order is going to run... I am LIVID with the fact that they have not cancelled my policy has requested by myself and FNB.
