I received a building bond in 2005 and I had to insure the building with Outsurance via my bank instructions.
At first the insurance premium was included with my bond repayment, which one pays interest on. I cancelled the premium with my bond and have been paying this myself via debit order with my bank. When I cannot remember, but it has been quite a number of years. Today I phoned Outsurance to find put about my no claims bonus. It seems I am not qualified as it was initially taken out via my bond. This I am told disqualifies one to an outbonus. BEWARE everyone if your house insurance was taken out with your bond, YOU WILL NOT GET AN OUTBONUS. WHY WAS THIS NOT BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION BY OUTSURANCE???
