Today I received a sms from African Bank to call them urgent, to avoid additional charges on my failed debit order.
Very confused I phoned them to know what is going on, because according to me, my account is up to date.
The guy in the contact centre told me, they could not take of a debit order n the 22nd of February because I did not had enough money in my account.
I told him how can they do that, because the agreement is that the debit or must go of the last day of the month, because that is only when I get my salary. He could not inform me how and who changed it, but will get a supervisor to call me back urgent, but he will change the date to the 25th of this month. Then I totally lost it, because what part of last day of the month does he not understand.
I am very upset because this caused that I paid extra bank charges, the phone call cost me money and time AND I get a bad credit name if a debit order return.
I told the guy I want a phone call back in the next hour with answers... guess what, I did not get my phone call!!!
