This will be second time with this problem and although i have tried to be patient and understanding i have now reached the point of frustration because the costs are piling up. I am frankly disappointed at Santam. On the 10/12/2012 i registered a claim because i had hit a pothole with my vehicle. Santam was quick to bring the road side assistance, i was impressed, however the tow truck dropped the car off at a town in the free state and i was stuck in the free state with no way to get home, Fourways JHB. They tell me that avis is closed for the day. I had to make extremely expensive means to get back home. I thought that Santam had me covered. And to make it worse i still don't have my car yet. Spoke to the claims handler a few days ago, who sent an email to the assessor coz she doesnt know wats happening, the assessor does not even respond, the claims call centre... well im still trying to understand what their role is exactly. its been 2.5 months without my car and all i did was hit a POT HOLE. I am frustarted beyond belief.
