Hi,

How is it that you can set a debit order date for the 1st of the new month, but come the 22nd Nedbank automatically sees money and debits your bank account.

I had deposited an undisclosed amount of money in my nedbank account for something which i needed to purchase on Friday 22/02/2013. I am flying to Cape Town and needed the money to cover my car hire deposit. I log onto my nedbank account to see my funds had been deducted and had left me with far less money that what was required for my deposit.

My debits were supposed to be deducted on the 1st of the new month, but it appears as if when nedbank sees any amount of money they feel it in their interest to just remove it from their clients account.

it has now been made my problem to correct this when i am due in Cape Town for a meeting and have to sort out the problem before i can get my rental, therefor running the risk of missing my meeting.

This is unacceptable that a bank which is supposed to be saving your money for its clients, yet is their money!!

I will be moving my account from Nedbank as i think this is no way to treat its client.
