Consultant advised incorrectly when selling the insurance policy, under-insured us. Requested recordings of the calls made by the consultant, were either lost, never recorded. No forms signed by us as a waiver, disclaimer or disclosure for policy. We were later informed that this was a crucial step that the consultant skipped
1st assessor sent to the property, advised us that we can't claim for items, which we later found out was not correct. Assessor informed us that we were under-insured and gave us his value of the property, which we had to increase our cover to and make back payments for the difference, from inception date. AFI then sent out their own contractor to view damages, which he quoted on. AFI then sent our a 3rd person to view damages. Report submitted contained insufficient and incorrect info. AFI stands by incorrect report & refuses to settle claim, even after the correct info and facts were submitted to AFI, as the incorrect report is in their favour. AFI staff do not take my requests seriously as we are constantly ignored.
