I slipped up with payment on my Standard Bank Mastercard, for the first time in many years. I called their collections centre on 0861112807 to sort out. For over 30 minutes in total (3 calls), I waited for a consultant. There was no consultant that took my call, nor was I advised of the usual "high call volume" call centre standard response - I was just subjected to the most depressing, foreboding recorded music for all the time spent
waiting! This was on either side of 1800 on 18/02/2013, when I expected the lines to be less congested. I just feel that the call was being ignored, by people who couldn't care less about customer service, or maybe change of shifts?
