I have owned a standard mastercard since 1988. My account always conducted in an exemplary manner. For various reasons I have defaulted payment four times on my card since 1988. On 15th February 2013 I paid in excess of 500% of my minimum payment due... now the catch I should have paid on the 18th Feb as now this payment still reflects payment in Janury (two payments recorded for January). So by standard bank reckoning I have paid my account late. Okay I understand that electronic systems are in place to handle issues like this. Si phone standard mastercard on Monday and spoke to Dumiso explaining the issue and to reverse the bank charges occurred as a result of "late payment". He promised to send a memo/letter to the relevant dept to do this and copy me in the mail. I stll wait. I have phoned mastercard repeatedly since and guess what no body to help me or I get put on hold and forgotten about all 15 minutes on hold with no person checking...
