I reported a lost mastercard on the 13/07 to the customer care consultant. I went through the whole process and was advised I will be charged and that it with take 5-7 wroking days, which I think is ridiculous in the first place, but agreed, as I required it urgently. I did a follow up call today only to find that the card was never ordered due to some issue on Standard bank side and it was only done while I was on the call. Standard bank customer service is disgusting and non-existant. I am a loyal client for more than 20 years but serious thinking about moving my entire account as all they find is excuses and charge for everything. Due to their incompetance, I will only receive my card some time next week, and if I require urgent use I need to go to a brance, they will issue me with a debit card, which I need to pay for because of the incompetance again.
It is no wonder that so many clients are moving away from Standard bank
