I purchased a vehicle from Absa bank some years ago, my car was written off in an accident and there was an amount of R 3000 or so owing to Absa Bank, which i contacted them to make payment, they were suppose to send me banking details, I was to make payment of R 200 per a month, they never e-mailed me the banking details, a few months later, the debt collector is standing outside my front door, asking me to make an arrangement to pay the balance owing and adding a further amount for their time. I refused to agree to his terms and contacted Absa Bank with the 10 days they give you to contact them, I made payments straight away, and I taught well thats over, next two months later my account is garnished by the attorneys, why i dont know, I have been battling with Absa ever since to be refunded and for the garnish to be uplifted, Absa nver contacted me for the amount outstanding, no letters no e-mails no phone calls, except when i contacted them, and further more the attorney did not contact me, just to come to my house they charged me R 2900, I have been battling, Please be aware when dealing with Absa Bank, dont become a victim like me
