I am past been frustrated with Absa!!! I closed my business and found a job approximately 5 years ago to be able to have a steady income to pay my creditors -mainly ABSA. I have been under debt review for about 5 years now and have been paying without exception my monthly amount as agreed between Absa and my debt councillor Consumer Assist. Four months ago I was even able to settle my Absa credit card in full and I am trying to pay extra to finish the next account in my quest to try and become debt free again. Absa send me a letter on the 16th June2013 cancelling my debt review due to non payment!! I contacted Consumer Assists who the contacted Absa and have send many emails as did I with statements reflecting that all payments have been made without any exception and are up to date... Absa is not interested to discuss and assist in any way!! I am afraid after doing my best to get ahead and by paying Absa without exception and extra when possible they will now auction my house ..what about my wife and 2 children... I have visited the NCR to lodge a complaint and I am also seeking legal advice from Solidariteit. What else to do?
