Upset Loyal Absa Client

I've been banking with Absa for over five years. A loyal customer and not owing Absa anything. The bank costs are absolutely ridiculous, but still I stay with Absa. Recently i applied for a small R8000 loan via my bank (Absa) which was a quite urgent loan as my vehicle needs to be repaired in numerous ways. My main transport for my family is my vehicle. In hopes that Absa would help me with this loan, i applied online. I was unemployed for almost a year and a half, but am currently employed full-time since February 2013. They responded after a few days that they are declining my loan because of an amount of R1200 that i owe on a Mr Price Account of many years ago.. Why decline my loan because of that? On my statements they can see i pay everything that needs to be paid, and also in time. While they still take a ridiculous amount of bank costs every time i make a withdrawel or make transfers. It seems like it doesn't matter how long or how good a customer you were to Absa, regardless of your loyalty to your bank, as soon as you need something urgently, they are very quick to decline!! I'm happy to stop my Absa account and open a new account with another bank
