I have been trying to close my old absa account for 1year now and every month I have to pay banking charges of R550 even if the account is dormant. I spoke to the person that works with my old business account end of last month, I explained to him that the account needs to be closed before there is any more banking charges he said to me that it will take 21days to close my cash focus on my account but there wont be anymore banking charges... I just got an sms that my (dormant) account is in the minus and I need to pay today. If this buggers up my credit rating because you cant do your job I will take you to court!
This is getting ridicules, it seems as if they don't want to close my account just to keep getting banking charges each month.
I moved to fnb last year Feb and I am still struggling to close my business account.
