On the 3 february 2013 Mr L Chetty went to Reservoir Hills mall to withdraw cash from the FNB atm. At approximately 11:15 the card in the machine was swallowed and called the bank immediately to report the card as swallowed. at 11:18 which is 3 minutes after the incident the money was withdrawn from the atm at Azmuth Motors which has another fnb atm. Mr L Chetty was unaware of what happened because to his knowledge he reported the card as swallowed immediately, he returned home only to find out that the sum of R1400 was withdrawn despite he cancelling his card and was surprised that such exists. FNB is totally ignorant to the fact there are glitches in their atms and systems and criminals are clients of fnb hard earned cash on a daily basis. Banks such as FNB supposed to be a safe institution to bank with. Please note Mr Chetty did open a case with fnb and was DECLINED and one of the consultants asked MR Chetty if he could avoid a hijacking???!!! How does it even compare? There is definitely some kind of card reader on FNB atm's and fnb is too lazy and ignorant to use camera footage and proper investigation whereas just choose to let clients be robbed of money!
