First National Bank
CARD CLONED ACCORDING TO FNB

On 14 Nov. '12 my husband and I stopped at the Sasol at 5th Avenue Benoni to draw money at the FNB ATM at 7.05am. We were in the process of entering my Pin Number when I received an sms at 7.13am which read: FNB R3000.00 withdrawn from cheq a/c. @ Kleinfontein Square Voo Standard. The next minute the machine swallowed my card. We went inside to see the Manager. He informed us that the keypad on the ATM was faulty and that he had reported it to FNB and that he could not retrieve my card. Only an FNB technician had access to the machine. I immediately went to the nearest FNB Branch and reported the incident. I distinctly told the consultant who took down the report that my card was in the SASOL Garage FNB ATM and that my card was swallowed at the exact same time by this machine when the R3000.00 was withdrawn from my account at a completely other ATM, which to date I still not know where it is. I assume FNB ATMs keep records of transactions on the cards. This proves my innocence and the fact that my card is in the ATM. I was informed that I will not be refunded and reported the matter to the Ombudsman, pending outcome.
