I went to the bank to withdraw some cash -The machine was ready for use, I have put my pin as per norm as per machine instructions - I realized that nothing happens, I waited for the machine to process the request, nothing happened and I press the cancel button to get my card back. nothing happened, I went inside to report the incident immediately. Nhlanhla guy who was at the info desk at the time called the card division which took 10 - 15min to answer, after all the waiting card division asked me to call stop card division - I had to go back to Nhlanhla again which he put me through - again had to hold for more than 10-15mnts as I got through and explained what happened - I was asked if I wanted to withdraw money first before they stop the card and I was advised to go to the tellers - got there and explained what I needed to do - to my surprise they told me I have zero balance -money was withdrawn at Midrand while I was inside the bank all the time -. why was this account not blocked immediately as advised that the ATM swallowed my card?? Surely the manager or who ever has authority could have been called to deal with the issue immediately within that time..
