ABSA takes money from my account

I received a call from ABSA vehicle finance in December ordering me to immediately supply proof that the car is still insured. I told the lady I was busy and would not be able to complete the call.

I received no further communication in this regard but found that my account was debited to almost R500 extra in Feb. Upon calling them I found out that ABSA had taken it on themselves to insure my car (with Themselves) and deducting the money from my account. I received no notice or warning that they were doing this AT ALL. I GAVE NO CONSENT that they could debit my account with any additional amount. I provided proof of insurance when I bought the car.

When a person or company takes money from you without your knowledge or consent is is called, simply,!

I requested a copy of the original call to make sure that I was not warned, and having listened to it I am 100% sure that I was not warned or asked if ABSA could act on my behalf and take money from my FNB account without my consent.
