I am shocked at the level of bad service & incompetence by ABSA staff! On 01/08 I received a call from ABSA, through which I have car finance, requesting that I submit proof of my car's insurance to them. I was told the proof needed to be submitted within 14 days.
By 07/08 I had emailed my proof of insurance to Baleseng Modiba [Email Removed] the person who contacted me originally requesting my proof of insurance.
When my debit order went off beginning of September, I was charged an extra R550.00. I was not informed that I was going to be charged an extra R550.00 & I certainly did not authorise ABSA to deduct extra money from my account.
I called ABSA customer care & was informed that it was for insurance on my car. I then called the AIP service line, who deal with vehicle insurance, & was cut off 4 times!
I would like a copy of the recorded telephonic conversation that I had with Baleseng Modiba on 01/08, where I specifically told her that I have insurance on my car & that I would send the proof of insurance to her!
I do not have time in my busy schedule to chase people for my money that was wrongfully deducted from my account because of their own incompetence!
