Standard Bank

I tried to go online to print a statement reflecting a payment I made via internet banking about 15 months ago. It was not possible. Contacted the call centre to obtain a statement and they cannot go back further than 12 months on their records. She said i must go into a branch. I went to the Waterfront branch during my lunch time and they also told me they cannot go back further than 12 months and have to request it from IPC (Don't know who or what IPC is). I explained to them that I URGENTLY need to provide proof of payment to prevent legal matters as this payment was already made. Should company's not keep records up to 5 years back. I CANNOT understand how a company as big as Standard bank, does not have access to information dating back 15 months!!!! With today's modern technology this should not be a big ask. I am definitely changing banks. This is pathetic. I wasted my time going to the bank (after i was told to do so by Standard bank).
