FNB has nice tool called Online statement and one can print out statements up to 3 months from the internet banking is either you download to email to self. The problem I have is when you print this and take it inside a branch to be stamped, the branch does not allowed it, they refuse. I have not got the reasons why. Service providers require stamped bank statements and one is forced to go to the branch unfortunately to get the print out stamped and this means even the emailed original ones wont be stamped either. Question: why put in a nice innovation like this if the branch cant back it up? I would thought that by printing out this in the comfort of my Internet banking profile or received email statement I am saving the bank paper, time and maybe resources. rather remove this function all together, I just dont see the purpose.
If not happy to do that give us an innovation that will allow suppliers to verify the statement via call center by including a reference number on the statement, which is proof of payment has. I cant think of any other way. this needs your attention.
