FNB's promise of opening accounts in 10 minutes is only half true. The account might be 'Open' in 10 minutes, but it is useless until the account is ACTIVATED.
I opened a business bank account with FNB. The account has been linked to my online banking profile and I've even received the business bank card, but unfortunately I'm not able to use my account until it is activated. I've been trying for a week to get an update from the activations department on my account status without success AND NO FEEDBACK!
I phone daily for an update, but every day I'm told that my matter will be "escalated" and that I will receive feedback (in the form of a call) on that day. Never has anyone contacted me via phone/email/sms with an update.
FNB, this is poor service and your escalations process isn't working. Seems like you grew too quickly and are dropping the ball on customer service! Should I consider moving to another bank? Only your attitude towards resolving my immediate need will determine what I do next.
I expect feedback from my bank on progress, documents required and status of my query. Is that too much too ask?
