Opening a business account near impossible

I applied online for a business account. For some reason, I couldn't finish my application online. I got a message saying that I will receive a call in 24 or 48hrs. No one called, I had to make the call to complete the application. I got an acc number and I had to submit my documents for the account to be activated. I sent all documents and the following day I received a phone call from FNB confirming that my documents have been received and that I will be contacted by someone from the verification department within 24hrs to activate the account. It has been 2 weeks and I'm still waiting for that call. In these 2 weeks I have called 5 times to find out why I'm not getting any feedback and the response I get every time is "I will forward your details to the verification department and we will call you in 24hrs" and that NEVER HAPPENS and when I ask for a contact from the verification department, i'm told it is not allowed as they don't talk to clients directly. Then why is it so difficult to follow up with a potential client? I know I should be taking my business elsewhere at this point, but I am frustrated because I want the FNB package.
